EDF: Centrica will invest 20% in British Energy

Centrica will acquire a 20 per cent. interest in British Energy, the operator of eight existing nuclear power stations of which EDF acquired control in January 2009. EDF and Centrica will also form an 80/20 joint venture to pursue a planned programme to build four new nuclear power stations in the UK. Finally, the EDF Group will acquire Centrica’s 51 per cent. stake in Belgian generation and supply business SPE.
It is bad for EDF that the value of the 20% is much lower than the amount they payed for British Energy. This is likely to bring down the share of EDF today, when the markets open.

The VLSinfo website is now capable of hosting many photo’s, video’s and all kind of other data. This enables me to upload a big chunk of my photo collection that I have gathered over the years. Current count is indicating over 3000 photo’s online and the number is increasing every week. Storage used is 7 gigabytes, but I have the ability to use a lot more.
If you want to browse you can select one of the two random images shown left on every page, or you can select the “Photo gallery” menu option shown above in this window.
What has been uploaded so far
The photo's online are from 2004, 2005 and 2006 and some days in 2008 and 2009. Next possibility will be used for uploading 2007, date by date and working myself towards present time.

Het is een verademing om weer terug in het georganiseerde ‘Westen’ te zijn, want vrijwel alles werkt.
Met de mobiele telefoon wordt in een enkele poging een verbinding tot stand gebracht, internet is beschikbaar zoals hier ook water, gas en elektriciteit beschikbaar is.
Maar perfect is het niet om weer terug te zijn, want de bekende valkuil van iedere ontwikkelde beschaving is altijd aanwezig;

Het Nigeria avontuur zit er weer op, aan alles komt een eind en dus ook aan dit. Ik heb er vreselijk van genoten, heb er ook veel van geleerd en heb veel ervaring opgedaan.
Brouwerij Jaarfeest
Voor het eerst in de geschiedenis van Ijebu-Ode is het jaarfeest door de Brouwerij zelf georganiseerd. Voorheen was het een feestje van de Head Human Resources and Human Resource Manager, en nu was ik dus de voorzitter van de committee.
